Bushiri’s Co-accused appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates court yesterday and was denied bail. Willah Mudolo is accused in relation to the R100 million fraud case.

His wife Zethu and the other accused are out on bail of R100 000. The Magistrate said the conduct of the Bushiris who escaped South Africa about a month ago played no role in the bail decision of Mudolo.

The Magistrate revealed that she was disturbed by allegations that Mudolo was able to communicate with other people while in custody.

In addition to that there are allegations that he attempted to bribe some of the court officials.

The court also heard how Mudolo tried to flee the country on three separate occasions allegedly using three different passports.

The court argued that if Mudolo is given bail there are high chances that he may flee the country like the Bushiris.

The Hawks investigating Officer told the court that Mudolo had three cell phones while in detention. The phones were later confiscated.

Mudolo will remain in custody and the case has been postponed until February next year.
