The Sunday World reports that TS Tombstones have removed an expensive tombstone that was erected at the grave of the late legendary musician, Dan Tshanda, leader of the Dalom kids.

Tshanda’s widow told Sylvia, told the Sunday World that the government was to blame as they did not pay the R140 000 that they had promised to pay the tombstone company.

The tombstone company said they were sub-contracted by B3 funerals, who in turn blamed the family for wanting too many extras, which resulted in the cost of the funeral balooning to R340 000.

B3 funerals said if the family had not demanded so many extras, the government’s R100 000 budget was going to cover all the costs of the funeral.

The company revealed that Tshanda had a package of R97 000 with them and the government had promised R100 000  and not R140 000 as stated by Slyvia.
