Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana defender Anele Ngcongca will not be laid to rest any time soon.

Anele Ngcongca’s cousin Siyasanga Ngcongca announced through social media that Anele’s funeral has been postponed as his mother is not feeling well.

She said the funeral will not go ahead without Anele’s mother as her health is important. The funeral has been postponed to the 10th of December 2020.

The service will take place at Gugulethu stadium and will be streamed live on social media.

Siyasanga slammed Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa for being silent about Anele’s passing despite the great contribution that he made to South African football.

She said Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula is the only minister who contacted the family and came to check on Anele’s mother.

She added that the late soccer star is much celebrated in Belgium where he used to play than in South Africa.

Nathi Mthethwa is yet to respond to the claims made against him. Anele lost his life on November 23, 2020 following a horrific car accident just a few days after the passing of his ex Mshoza.
