65 years old Olpha Selepe, who goes by the stage name Gee Six Five, has taken Mzanzi by storm with her catchy Amapiano single, Obani Lababantu.

The single was released last week and has gone viral throughout South Africa.

Gee Six Five told the Daily Sun that her children were against the idea of her recording an Amapiano song, so she went behind their backs and did it.

Gee Six Five lives in Newcastle, KZN with her four children , and is studying for a PhD at the University of KZN.

She revealed that she will not perform at government events and will not perform at bars. She told the newspaper that she will not perform after 3pm.
