Valuable equipment that was stolen from popular DJ Ganyani ‘s house in Meadowlands Zone 6, Soweto, studio, has been recovered.

Thieves broke into the popular DJ’s house through the roof on Monday and damaged equipment worth R27 000 and stole equipment worth R99 000.

Ganyani went on social media and appealed for assistance to recover the equipment.

DJ Ganyani told the Daily Sun that someone saw his Facebook post and informed him that he had seen the equipment at his girlfriend ‘s grandfather ‘s house.

The grandfather was called and sent the 19 year old who had stolen the equipment on an errand.

While the thieving youngster was away, a search was conducted and some of the equipment was recovered.

Some of the equipment which had already been sold, was also recovered.

DJ Ganyani said he did not recover his wireless keyboard and mixer.

The Daily Sun reported that the two thieves, aged 19 and 20, will appear in court on the 25th of November on charges of housebreaking and possession of stolen property.
