Rapper AKA’s talk show pulled out 2,8 million viewers in its first episode when it aired on SABC 1.

The show was started by AKA during the lockdown and was exclusively aired on AKAtv which required viewers to actually pay 50 rands subscription a month.

The rapper then signed a deal with SABC 1 to pull the show from his AKAtv platform to SABC 1.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to Twitter to share the good news. Mphela also revealed that the show became the 13th and 18th most watched program on the channel and South Africa respectively.
