Leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering Prophet Shepherd Bushiri who fled South Africa with his wife Mary over the weekend is reported to have gone to the police to turn himself in.
Reports are emerging from Malawi’s capital Lilongwe that the police went to his house last night to arrest him but he was not there.
Some reports suggest that the police raided the fugitives’ home in Malawi and took Bushiri and his wife Mary into custody.
Interpol and the North Gauteng High Court had earlier issued warrants of arrest after the couple broke their bail conditions last week.

The Bushiri’s are facing charges of theft, money laundering and fraud in connection with an alleged R100 million investment scheme.
