Yamikani Janet Banda, known professionally as Lady Zamar is a South African singer and songwriter born in 1987 to a Malawian father and a South African mother.

She was was raised in Mamelodi.

Lady Zamar has won the hearts of many South Africans and international fans with her songs.

The musician previously accused her ex-boyfriend; Sjava of raping her while they were doing a show in Thohoyandou; Limpopo three years ago.
