Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has admitted to having a child with former first lady
Thobeka Madiba-Zuma’s sister over two decades ago.

Former President Jacob Zuma has been at loggerheads with the Deputy Chief Justice Zondo over his appearance at the state capture of inquiry.

In a public battle the former President has been calling for Raymond Zondo to recuse himself from chairing the state capture commission of inquiry claiming that Zondo was biased against him.

Zondo revealed that in the mid 90s when he was still practicing to be a lawyer, he got into a relationship with a woman out of which a child was born.

Zondo said his relationship with Thobeka’s sister ended back in the 90s and by then Jacob Zuma had no relationship with Ms Thobeka Madiba.

The deputy chief justice added that his relationship with Thobeka’s sister has no bearing on the execution of his judiciary duties in the matter involving the former President Jacob Zuma.

The former President is adamant and still maintains that the chairperson of inquiry had already decided that he is guilty.

Zuma is expected to appear between the 16th and 20th of November before the commission of inquiry to answer to allegations of corruption levelled against him.
