The Sunday Independent reports that a mineworker from Carletonville, in the Gauteng West Rand, confessed to pulling the trigger in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
The newspaper reports that he was hired together with his five friends to kill Meyiwa on 18 October 2020.
Five men, who were already in jail for different crimes, were on Wednesday arrested for the murder after an arrest warrant was signed by NPA Director of Public Prosecutions, Siyabonga Mzinyathi.
The Newspaper revealed that at the centre of the plot was money that Senzo promised somoene, but did not deliver.
The gun that was used in the murder was found by Investigators in a safe at the Cleveland Police Station.
