The Hawks have seized more houses and luxury cars from Billionaire, Edwin Sodi in Cape Town.
Sodi had not declared the houses which are in the plush Clifton Suburb. The first house is worth R60 Million and the other is worth R48 Million. The value of the luxury cars was not disclosed.
The Sowetan exclusively revealed that the hawks tracked Sodi from his secret house in Clifton where he spent the night before appearing at the Zondo commision on Monday.
After doing checks on the ownership of that property, the Hawks discovered that it was owned by the Billionaire.
Further checks revealed other properties and luxury cars which were then seized .
Sodi and his six co-accused are being charged with fraud and corruption in a project to remove asbestos roofs from houses in the Free State.
Sodi’s properties and luxury cars will be auctioned to pay back the state.
