Khama Billiat reportedly snubbed several offers to play abroad which his agent has been lining up for him. Khama rather opted to move to Kaizer Chiefs.

The Premier Soccer League is one of the most highest paying leagues in Africa. Players from all over Africa and beyond come to play in the PSL.

Khama Billiat Is reported to be the highest paid soccer player in the PSL. His salary is estimated to be around R830 000 a month.

It is reported aswell that the then Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane offered Khama Billiat a much higher salary but Khama refused the offer.

It is believed that Kaizer Chiefs thought that the signing of Billiat would enhance their chances of reclaiming the PSL title and also boost their endorsements, ticket sales and t-shirt sales.

Some reports suggest that Khama Billiat left Mamelodi Sundowns because they failed to pay him the amount he wanted.

Khama Billiat has so far scored 8 goals for Kaizer Chiefs since joining the club 2 years ago. He joined the Soweto giants on the 1st of July 2018 and his contract expires on the 30th of June 2021.
