The Sunday Independent reports that South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa is in trouble over a transgender woman that he mysteriously recommended for appointment on a key Coronavirus Advisory Committee.
The newspaper reports that a whistleblower tipped off the department of health about the man, who is said to have two ID documents, one as a man and another as a woman.
Lindiwe Ntombiyesizwe Ringane Ka Seme is a transgender woman who was born Keith Bekisizwe Ringane in 1982.
Ringane has failed to respond to the newspaper about her medical qualifications and doctors practice number.
Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, reportedly told investigators that Ringane came highly recommended by Ramaphosa.
Mkhize disbanded the committe last month.
