It has been reported that Pitso Mosimane has resigned at Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns and is joining Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

News that Pitso Mosimane was leaving Mamelodi Sundowns was released on social media. Sundowns is yet to release a statement.

Mosimane is reported to have already met with Sundowns President billionaire Patrice Motsepe.

Al Ahly is said to have offered a lucrative deal which will see Mosimane doubling his current salary of R1 million per month.

The former Bafana Bafana coach was the highest paid coach in South Africa.

The fact that he has won five league titles and a CAF Champions league trophy for Sundowns has made him a household name on the continent.

The Egyptians have offered Mosimane a 2 year contract worth about US$120 000 which is about R2 million.
