Former president Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane Zuma has thrown his weight behind artists who marched in KZN against government lockdown regulations.

Artists including DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi and Zodwa Wabantu demanded that government allow them to hold concerts where venues will be filled up to 70 percent capacity.

In an Instagram video Duduzane saluted the stance and actions taken by DJs, artists, producers, business owners in the entertainment industry and everyone in the entertainment industry who participated.

He said the march was important as it served to remind the authorities that they must move fast and open the economy for entertainers.

He urged the government to talk less and deliver since the artists relied on hosting gigs and concerts for a living. Duduzane said people are hungry and it’s their right to fight for their means of income.

Duduzane Zuma asked the government to allow people to have the opportunity to make income. He also saluted musicians like Dladla Mshunqisi and DJ Tira for leading the front during the march.
