Orlando Pirates midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch was arrested by the police after he allegedly beat his girlfriend.
This comes after the soccer star’s girlfriend Nokhupiwa Muthithibala opened a case of assault against the Orlando Pirates superstar.
She reported the case at Midrand Police Station, where she said that Lorch strangled her after she asked about his whereabouts.
Sunday World reported that the incident according to a police statement happened on Sunday evening at the soccer player’s complex in Midrand.
Muthithibala revealed that Lorch slapped her before he started strangling her while sitting on top of her. He then drove off with his friends leaving her stranded.
Lorch was then picked up by the police hours later and he appeared in court today for his bail hearing.
