‘Please Call Me’ Inventor Nkosana Makate Wins Court Battle Against Vodacom.

Kenneth Nkosana Makate, who for years has said he invented the Please Call Me concept, won his battle against SA’ s biggest mobile network company Vodacom.

The case was taken to South Africa’s highest legal authority, the Constitutional Court, where Vodacom was ordered to compensate Makate.

According to Makate, the idea was conceived when he was trying to bridge the communication challenges between him and his girlfriend without the use of airtime.

He says he will still go through negotiations with Vodacom to figure out exactly how much is due to him.
